If you are using Desktop Printing
- Double click on your desktop print icon.
- Form the menu bar drag down from "Printing" and let go on "Start Print Queue"
Document still wont print.
- Do you see the printer in your chooser?
- Make sure you have the correct printer driver and configuration.
- Did you try printing without spooling?
- Make sure you have the correct material orientation and size.
- See if you can print a blank page (a sample blank page with nothing on it of the same size).
- Try printing with half of the objects on the page. If that prints try the other half. Keep splitting your page elements down until you find the offending element that wont print.
- Use ATM and check the fonts. Highlight the font in ATM and key command-r or command-e to check fonts.
- Check for double rotations, a box rotated and contents rotated also.
- Check your links to make sure they are OK.
- Too many overlapping images?
- Bad clipping path or change the flatness?
- After trying all above, document what computer, OS version, driver version, and other details so the problem can be recreated. Include data about what actions you took to diagnose the problem.
- Make sure you haven't got any Illustrator 7.0 files. If you do, resave in 7.01 or newer.
